Feyenoord in Europe – Hapoel Beer Sheva away

Written by De Twaalfde Man

The best away days with Feyenoord are the ones in Europe. Of course the match result counts, but the trip itself is what it’s all about. This time for me the excuse to go to Israel. A country which wasn’t on my bucket list to visit. People told me it is a beautiful country. So I had to see it for myself.

It was a short visit. I had no time to visit places like Jerusalem or Bethlehem. It was Tel Aviv and Beer Sheva for me. Honestly these places did not impress me. Tel Aviv is just for beach tourists. Beer Sheva is has simply nothing to offer other than dust and dessert. Maybe if I had more time and the possibility to visit the cultural places my opinion about Israel would change. For now I am not convinced to return. Let’s see what the future will bring.

The Europe League group stage is next with visits to Bern and Porto confirmed. Looking forward to these ones.
